Here below i explain how you can use Coreldraw 8 for Engraving.
First Tip : Make your drawing 3 time ( or more ) bigger than the original and when you load the file into your machine you must make it 3 times smaller. This is because coreldraw smallest point is 0.025mm
Step1:Type a text and select it.
Step2:Convert to curves. Now it is no text anymore.
Step3:Start Contouring.
Step4: Give a offset. Select the option Outside. When you have a cutter with a diameter of 2mm, you say here 1mm, And then Apply Steps must be in our sample on 1.
Step5:The lines are to fat , make thin lines.
Step6:Separate your text and the countour.
Step7:Select your own text and delete it, now you have only the contour.
Step8:It must be look like this
Step9:Draw a rectangle around the text
Step10:Select the rectangle and the text and combine these.
Step11:Choose Option To center and give an offset 1,1 mm and click on apply
Step12:Separate the contour.
Step13:Break it apart , because we don't want to engrave the rectangle.
