I have written software for my machine in MS VC++ 6.0. It is called
NControl and it reads HPGL/PLT and NC/ISO and controls my SMC1500 card.
It also has Text functions and a number of machine calibration options.

First I used CStep, a dos program supporting SMC cards. Now I use my own.
